Salt workshop

The salt workshop provides a fun opportunity to experience how salt is produced in Valle Salado. This is an ideal experience to enjoy with family or school-friends. You will be the true protagonist of the salt farms and learn the salt-making trade.

In a specially enabled area of the salt farms, a guide will teach you the various stages in the production of the "white gold": filling the salt-pans with brine; using the scoop; stirring the salt water with the rollers; collect salt in the baskets; "entrojar" or taking the salt to the warehouses. Furthermore, you will learn the various methods used the produce Añana Salt throughout history.

To do this, you enter the salt-pans barefoot and feel the touch of the brine, you will handle the simple but useful tools employed by the salt-makers and finally you will take your own salt home with you.

This activity is designed for both school groups and families who want to spend some quality time together. However, if you find that the salt workshop was not enough, you can enjoy some time in the Salt Spa.
